No signs of tourist missing from Maamunagau despite large search area

Despite covering a large area of search, no signs have been found of the missing tourist from the Intercontinental Maldives Maamunagau resort.

The female tourist went missing on February 13 after going snorkeling. Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) was reported the incident around 20:20 Saturday. 

Search efforts are still underway and a total area of 500 sq. miles have been searched using the MNDF Dornier aircraft. Area of 15,49162 meters have also been searched by divers and a surface search is also underway. An area of 66 nautical miles had been searched so far by the MNDF Coastguard vessel “Kaamiyaabu”. 

MNDF said that the tourist was wearing a red-flowered swimsuit and MNDF requested travelers in the area to keep a lookout for the missing tourist and to report any relevant information to 191.
