Health Protection Agency (HPA) has announced 35 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed cases in the Maldives to 13,248.
With the new cases, Maldives has a total of 707 active cases.
According to HPA, 31 of the new cases were confirmed from the greater Male’ region while three were confirmed from inhabited islands. A single case was confirmed from an operational resort.
Meanwhile, 50 additional COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24 hours, increasing total recoveries to 12,487.
There are a total of 69 patients in the hospital.
HPA specified that 1,748 samples were collected for the virus in the last 24 hours.
Health officials have so far collected 259,462 samples for the virus.
47 COVID-19 patients have died from complications.
