The Travel Summit of Travel Trade Maldives (TTM) will be held today. The summit will be held from November 23-24 and will be cast live on its platforms on Facebook and Twitter virtually.
Travel Trade Maldives is a product of Orca Media Group, a leading media and marketing company in the Maldives. This is the fourth edition of the summit and will be hosted by Dolores Semeraro, a multilingual hospitality speaker, certified digital marketing trainer, and coach with 15 years of experience in Tourism and Hospitality. The virtually held summit will be carried out through the TTM Connect software.
This year's summit is held under the theme ‘Reigniting Tourism in Maldives’ whereby travel industry professionals will discuss ways to reignite tourism in the Maldives during the two-day summit. This includes an analysis of market trends and the basic overview of the Maldivian tourism industry as a whole since it was disrupted by COVID-19. The summit will see the participation of 150 resorts and 200 operators of the tourism industry.
Tourism Minister, Dr. Abdulla Mausoom will be speaking at the summit to share the government strategies to reignite tourism. Other distinguished speakers at the event include Secretary General of MATI Ahmed Nazeer, Indian High Commissioner to Maldives Sunjay Sudhir, Bangladesh High Commissioner to Maldives Mohammad Nazmul Hassan, and the Managing Director of MMPRC Thoyyib Mohamed.
This year's summit will also bring in other perspectives to destination marketing strategies, as well as the challenges being faced within hospitality facilities.
The summit will be joined by a number of industry professionals across various aspects of tourism, such as resort managers, key members of leading OTAs, and airlines operating in the Maldives.
