Hoarafushi Airport could be finished as soon as Sunday

The regional airport under development in H. A. Hoarafushi could finish as soon as next week, Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated. 

MTCC said that 99 percent of the airport runway was now finished. 85 percent of the entire project was also finished, including 75 percent of the terminal building, 50 percent of the fire services building. 

Hoarafushi Airport is the biggest project of MTCC currently underway. MTCC CEO Adam Azim visited the airport for inspection today. 

The airport is being developed with a runway of 1.2 kilometers. An area of 720 meters is to be fenced out in order to separate the premises from the island.
