Lufthansa commences direct flights to Maldives

Lufthansa has commenced direct flights between the Maldives and Germany. 

The airline will be holding flights between the Maldives and Germany twice every week on every Wednesday and Sunday. 

The airline had held flights to the Maldives before the COVID-19 lockdown and will be holding flights for the summer season as well. 

Travelers to the Maldives are required to present a 96-hour negative PCR test. So far, since the Maldives reopened its borders on July 15, the nation had received more than 31,000 tourists. 

More and more airlines are also commencing travel to the Maldives targeted for the peak tourist season.
