President nominates Imaad for Deputy Governor of MMA

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has nominated the name of Ahmed Imaad as the deputy governor of the Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA). 

Imaad's nomination is to be forwarded to the Parliament's Public Accounts Committee today. Imaad, who currently serves as the Assistant Executive Director of the central bank, has been employed at the central bank since 2000. 

The Parliament Committee will evaluate the appointment of Imaad as the deputy governor. If the Committee approves, a vote will be asked for the appointment in the house. 

Imaad has a Masters Degree in Finance and Economics from the UK after obtaining a Bachelors Degree in the same field from Malaysia.
