Flat Committee staffer tests positive for COVID-19

A staff member of the Committee formed to evaluate the awarding of flats in the previous administration has tested positive for COVID-19, disrupting the work of the Committee.

A statement issued by the Committee regarding the delays in its work read that a staff member had tested positive for COVID-19, last Tuesday, leading to the quarantine of remaining staff members and contact tracing work. A second employee had also tested positive yesterday, according to the statement.

The award lists of the flats are expected to be delayed due to the circumstances, according to the Committee statement. No date has been issued for the lists to be revealed. The Committee was expected to release the lists for flats to be awarded to doctors, nurses, teachers and native residents of Male' City.
