Quarantined individual in Hulhudhuffaaru tests positive for COVID-19

An individual home-quarantined in R. Hulhudhuffaaru has tested positive for COVID-19.

Hulhudhuffaaru Council President Ali Jaawidh confirmed the news to Sun. Jaawidh said that the individual was a middle-aged Maldivian.

"He is under quarantine right now. He tested positive for COVID-19 after completing the initial 14 days," said Jaawidh.

He said that the individual was living alone and had not come into contact with anyone else.

"However, there will be an individual who goes to deliver the necessary items to him. Even though there is no direct contact, the individual is also isolated," said Jaawidh.

Three individuals in home-quarantine at R. Dhuvaafaru also tested positive for the virus last night. A child in home-quarantine at A.A. Thoddoo also tested positive for the virus last week. Two individuals in H. Dh. Nolhivaram also tested positive for COVID-19 recently.
