Police searching for eight missing expatriates

Police have announced that they are searching for eight expatriates who could not be contacted.

The expatriates reportedly escaped from a quarantine facility for COVID-19 and undocumented foreign workers that are to be repatriated.

Police began searching for the migrants upon a request from the Economic Ministry.

The eight expatriates are:

• Mohamed Siraj Mia, Toungline, Bangladesh
• Alameen, Brahmanbaria, Bangladesh
• MD Saiful, Brahmanbaria, Bangladesh
• Mohamed Fazulul Haggu, Cumilla, Bangladesh
• Mohamed Muneer Hussain, Chandpur, Bangladesh
• Mohamed Gaffar Beyparee, Brahmanbaria, Bangladesh
• Mohamed Parves, Toungline, Bangladesh
• Bilman Khan, Gazipur, Bangladesh
