An administrative staff of the Prosecutor General’s Office (PG Office) has tested positive for COVID-19.

Public Prosecutor and Media Officer of PG Office Ahmed Shafeeu said to Sun that an administrative staff of the office tested positive for the virus, leading to a closure of the office for disinfection purposes.

Shafeeu added that the staff had not come into contact with many. “Since the office is being cleaned by another company during these days, The staff was a supervisor.” Said Shafeeu.

Due to the closure of the office, the hearing of former Vice President Ahmed Adeeb scheduled to be held in the Criminal Court today was also canceled.
