MMA: Banks will be open on four days next week

Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) has announced that banks in the Maldives will be open on four days next week. 

Apart from Sunday, all banks in the country will be open from 9:30 to 14:00, said the central bank. 

MMA also announced that the service of spare change will also be recommenced starting from June 16 every Tuesday and Thursday.

MMA requested customers to text 7919292 the names, address, ID card number as well as a contact number before attending the bank. The bank will also assist in obtaining permits through the Police.

MMA will also inform the specific date for the customer to attend the bank and advised to wear masks when attending the bank.
