One more virus patient recovers, increasing total recoveries to 18

Records released by Health Protection Agency (HPA) on Saturday show one more person who had tested positive for COVID-19 to have recovered from the disease.

The recovery was noted on HPA’s records for the past 24 hours.

It does not specify the patient’s nationality.

The new recovery increased total COVID-19 recoveries in Maldives to 18.

A virus patient is established to have made a recovery after the patient is completely asymptomatic, and tests negative following two rounds of testing.

With 28 new cases, virus cases in Maldives rose to 519 on Saturday. They include 265 Bangladeshis, 178 Maldivians, 52 Indians, 11 Italians, three Pakistanis, three Nepalese, and three Sri Lankans, and four more people of other nationalties.
