5000 more test kits obtained for COVID-19

The government of Maldives has obtained 5000 more test kits for COVID-19.

In a press conference tonight, National Emergency Operations Center spokesperson Mabrouq Azeez stated that a cargo flight had been conducted to Singapore which returned tonight. The 5000 test kits were obtained via this flight.

“5000 test kits have been obtained. 5000 masks, 500 sets of PPE, and 15 auto-Bipap non-invasive ventilators as well.” Said Mabrouq.

The Maldives has now collected samples from 8008 individuals for COVID-19. 396 positive cases have been confirmed in the country so far.
