Most recent virus cases include 4 Indians and 3 Maldivians

Health Protection Agency has announced that the most recent cases of Covid-19 in the capital include four Indian nationals three Maldivian.

A total of 15 people were tested positive from Male’ City today. The total number of positive cases from the capital now stands at 47.

The first eight cases confirmed in the capital today included six Maldivians and two Bangladeshi nationals.

The next seven cases confirmed in the capital included four Indian nationals and three locals. HPA stated that they were now being moved to an isolation facility.

The authorities announced that case number 55 out of the 67 confirmed in the Maldives was an employee of Lily Store in the market area of Male’ City.

Those who visited the store from April 13-14 between 8:00 and 18:00 are to report themselves to the HPA.

Case number 59 and 60 are both employees of Ihsaan Fihaara, a popular shop in Male’ City. HPA has requested everyone that visited the shop on April 15, 16 and 17 to also report themselves.
