Treetop Hospital in the Maldives has valued the important services of the health sector professionals such as nurses.

In accordance with the World Health Day, the Hospital gave the Florence Nightingale Awards which is a distinction awarded to nurses for their exceptional courage and devotion.

The award is handed out in the memory of the founder of modern nursing. This year, the award was won by Mark Bravo, who works as a nurse in the Emergency Department of the Hospital. The award was handed out in a special ceremony held last month.

The tagline for this year’s World Health Day is to support nurses and midwives.

Treetop Hospital’s Nursing Director Dr. Renee Janse van Rensburg congratulated midwives and nurses all across the world before valuing and thanking them for their humanitarian work.
