Local arrested for abusing 7-year old girl

A local has been arrested for sexually abusing a seven-year-old girl.

Police stated that reports of the incident in Hulhumale’ was received around 20:00 tonight.

A 24-year old male was arrested by Police under a court order. The man was reportedly living in the same house as the girl.

Police are now investigating the matter.
