The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has informed that it is investigating a case on corruption allegations against the Chairman of Felivaru Fisheries Maldives, Mohamed Imthiyaz.
Vice President of ACC Muawwiz Rasheed said that Imthiyaz has been accused of taking 2,000 cases of tuna on credit for his private shop, but no further details can be provided on this case until its investigation is completed.
He said that a decision will be made upon completion of the investigation whether to forward the case to the Prosecutor General’s Office.
Imthiyaz said today that he has not misused his authority as Chairman of Felivaru Fisheries Maldives to conduct any illegal activities.
He said that he will fully cooperate with any investigations conducted in this regard.
