Island Aviation, the operator of Maldivian airline, has said today that it would begin scheduled flights to Fuvammulah next Friday.
Ali Nashath, Media Official at Island Aviation said that four flights shall be operated to Fuvammulah every week, and that two plans, one with passenger capacity of 36 and the other with passenger capacity of 48, shall be operated to Fuvammulah. He said that the first flight is scheduled to leave at 7 o’clock from the Ibrahim Nasir International Airport.
Nashath also said that the number of flights operated to Fuvammulah may be increased in the future, depending on the demand. He also said that the days of the week for flights had not yet been finalized.
The price of a return ticket for Fuvammulah has been set at 3194 Rufiyaa.
Fuvammulah domestic airport has been built recently, and a test flight was conducted about a week ago.
