Expatriate man mugged and stabbed

An expatriate man has been attacked by a group of 3 violent thugs, who mugged the victim and then stabbed him.

The Police told that the incident occurred around 7:30 tonight, near the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) Malé Office.

A Bangladeshi man named Nazumul and aged 21 has been hospitalized since the incident, and he is still unconscious.

Nazmul is a security officer working with Obsuloot Security, a private company providing security services.

The Police said that the thugs who attacked Nazmul and stabbed him on the abdomen did it after taking MVR 2500 in his wallet.
