IGMH introduces new water-based type of physiotherapy

IGMH has introduced a new type of physiotherapy named as aquatic physiotherapy.

The procedure involving exercise is carried out in waters with a 34-degree temperature. IGMH informed that the therapy was focused on releasing and loosening muscles and exhaustion in joints.

The service is only available for doctor-recommended patients who are in need of the procedure according to IGMH. The therapy will be provided on the fourth floor of the Dharumavantha building in IGMH.

The therapy is provided by a few countries in South Asia. The introduction of new services and further development of existing services in IGMH is expected with the MVR 818 million included in the state budget for 2020.
