Repairs have begun on the ceiling of the waiting room area of Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital, the main government-run hospital of the country, after a part of the ceiling of the Emergency Room fell yesterday.
An IGMH media official state that repairs were commenced on the part of the ceiling as soon as the incident occurred. The cause of the incident was deemed to be a water leak and the repairs are being carried out by a department of the hospital.
When questioned by “Sun” regarding the steps taken by the hospital to prevent any further such incidents, the official stated that the information would have to be clarified from the department working on that matter.
IGMH was built with the aid of India and the country also assists in repairing and renovating the hospital.
