Ambitious Cross Roads project opened

The first resorts of the Cross Roads project by Singha Estate developed in Emboodhoo Finolhu has been opened.

The resort was opened by Vice President of the Maldives Faisal Naseem. The first three resorts of the project are the Hrad Rock Hotel Maldives, SAii Lagoon Maldives, Curio Collection By Hilton and The Marina Maldives yacht marina. Hard Rock Hotel will consist of 178 rooms while the Saii Lagoon will consist of 198 rooms.

Cross Roads stated that the completion of the entire project will take some five years and is being carried out in two phases.  A total of nine islands will be developed under the project and will cost around USD 700 million.

Cross Roads is now open to Maldivians as well. Ferries will operate from Male', Hulhumale', Velana International Airport and Maafushi to the resort every 20-25 minutes.

The resort expects to serve 2000 customers per day and 3000 customers on weekends. Cross Roads will also have a Discovery Center and a Cultural Center. There are also world-famous cafes and a convention center at the resort.
