Condition of toddler who fell into fishpond remains critical

Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) says the condition of the toddler who fell into a fishpond in L. Gan earlier this week remains critical.

A spokesperson from IGMH reported to Sun this Tuesday that the condition of the toddler, a two-year-old girl, remains unchanged.

She is still under treatment at the Intensive Care Unit, and is breathing with the assistance of a ventilator.

The spokesperson declined to disclose any details.

The toddler fell into the fishpond at her residence in L. Gan on Saturday, September 14. She was initially treated at the L. Gan Regional Hospital before being transported to Male’ City for further treatment.
