The Supreme Court has announced for tailors to make the gowns and suits for Supreme Court Justices.
An announcement for tailors for the purpose was made on August 26, however, this announcement was terminated after the Supreme Court received only two requests for information regarding the announcement.
The re-announcement was amended so that interested parties can clarify details until September 1 and can submit proposals until September 8.
The two nominations of former High Court Judge Esmeralda Zahir and former Civil Court judge Aisha Shujoon to increase the number of Supreme Court judges to seven have been approved by the Judiciary Committee of the parliament.
The suits and gowns of the two new justices if appointed would have to be tailored. Other than these two seats, the recent removal of Supreme Court Justice Abdulla Didi would also mean that the suit and gown of the replacement would have to be tailored as well.
