Falling branch leaves man severely injured in Veymandoo

A branch that fell from a tree has left a person injured in Thaa Atoll Veymandoo.

Sun has been informed that the man was the imam of a mosque in Veymandoo.

Veymandoo Council president Ahmed Naseeh spoke to "Sun" and informed that the incident happened in the morning when the imam was struck by the falling branch to which a "Joali" had been tied. Naseeh also stated that the man had lost consciousness and received injuries to his head.

The man has now been taken to the hospital in Veymandoo where he had been medical care, but due to the severity of his condition he had now been transported to Male' via helicopter, according to Naseeh.
