Met Office: Bad weather forecasted for Eid holidays

The Maldives Meteorological Service (Met Office) has forecast that all of Maldives will be affected by bad weather during the upcoming Alha Eid holidays. A Met Office official speaking to "Sun" stated that bad weather is a common theme for August.

The Eid holidays begin on Sunday. Met Office has forecast that Central and Northern areas of the country will be affected by bad weather by Saturday and the South of the country will also be affected by bad weather by Sunday and Monday.

The Met Office has also predicted winds up to 10-18 miles per hour during the holidays. It is currently the Hulhangu or Southwest Monsoon in the Maldives which is the wet season for the country.
