G. Dh Thinadhoo is being affected by tidal waves.

Thinadhoo councilor Ahmed Nashid stated to "Sun" that the signs of tidal waves were visible after the Hukuru prayers. "The waves are coming from all sides. The tide is high and there are a lot of vessels in the harbor, so we are currently working on making sure that the launches do not get damaged," said Nashid

Nashid also stated that the situation has been brought to the alert of the National Disaster Manager Authority and the Police. "Our biggest worry is that water might reach the trees in the park area of the island," said Nashid.
