President leaves on state visit to Seychelles

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and the First Lady Fazna Ahmed has left for Seychelles on a state visit.

This trip was in response to a special invitation by the president of Seychelles Danny Faure.

The president will be accompanied by several senior government officials on this trip and is expected to hold high-level talks with Seychelles.

The president is expected to hold discussions in several areas with his counterpart and sign agreements as well as MoU's during this trip.

The Maldives established diplomatic relations with Seychelles on July 1, 1980. It was the 41st country that the Maldives established diplomatic relations with.
