Chairperson of Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) and Hulhuhenveiru MP Reeko Moosa Manik has been summoned by Police in relation to two cases currently under investigation.

Police Media Official Hassan Haneef said that Moosa Manik has been summoned to the Police Office at 16:00 tomorrow, for questioning and obtaining statements about two cases under investigation by the Serious and Organised Crime Unit.

The first case relates to Moosa Manik ‘creating’ a people’s Court at an MDP rally at the Tsunami Monument area, while the second one relates to him disrespecting the Courts.

Haneef said that Moosa had accepted the notification sent by the Police.
