Robbers break into G. Dh. Thinadhoo post office

Contents of a large quantity of parcels have been reported stolen in a robbery at the G. Dh. Thinadhoo post office.

Maldives Police Service says the robbery took place last Wednesday evening.

According to the police, the robbers broke open the seals of a large quantity of parcels and stole its contents.

There are also signs the robbers attempted to, but failed to break into the money safe at the office.

The specific contents stolen in the robbery is unclear at this point.

The case is under investigation by Maldives Police Service.
