MNDF co-of engineers revealed that within two days, they would be able to complete the task of landscaping the area surrounding the Addu Convention where the 17th SAARC Summit is to be held on the coming November.
MNDF stated that according the Co of engineers, 99 percent of the landscaping has been completed so far.
MNDF also said that earlier when the Co-of engineers had gone to the Addu City to start work on the project, the area was a dense forest with huge vegetation. They also said that now, the scenery has completely changed and anyone visiting the area would see a beautiful scenery. MNDF described it as a vision brought to reality by the hard work of the MNDF officers who worked on the project.
MNDF Police also said that they received tremendous help from the people of Addu City, Maldives Police Services and the Sothern Utilities.
