Mustafa summoned to Police Office, asked to provide statement

Former Member of Parliament for Thimarafushi Constituency and Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) National Council Member, Mohamed Mustafa has been summoned by the Police.

Police Media Official Hassan Haneef said today that Mustafa was asked to provide a statement when he was summoned to the Police Office at 15:00 yesterday.

He said that this was regarding a case currently under investigation by the Police.

Mustafa said today that he was summoned by the Police in relation to some comments he made about the military, at the most recent meeting of MDP National Council.
