Exim Bank of India aids the development of water and sewerage systems in 35 islands of Maldives.
Maldivian Ministry of Finance informed that the projects will be conducted through a credit line agreement signed between the Maldivian government and Indian Exim Bank.
Programs of developing the water and sewerage systems are ongoing in many islands of the country. President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has announced previously that by the end of his five-year presidency, all the islands will have good water and sewerage systems.
Water system installation projects are to be held in:
Ha.Fihladhoo, N.kendhikolhudhoo, Ad.Dhigaru, F.Magoodhoo, Ga.Maamendhoo, Ha.Kelaa, R.Inguraidhoo, V.Felidhoo, Dh.Bandidhoo, Gdh.Fiyoari, Ha.Baarah, B.Kendhoo, V.Fulidhoo, Dh.Meedhoo, Gdh.Madaveli, Hdh.Vaikaradhoo, Lh.Kurendhoo, V.Thinadhoo, Th.Kinbidhoo, Gdh.faresmaathodaa, Hdh.Makunudhoo, K.Gaafaru, M.Kolhufushi, L.Maamendhoo, Sh.Funadhoo, K.Kaashidhoo, M.Maduvari, L.Mabaidhoo, N.Manadhoo, Aa.Maalhos, F.Dharaboodhoo and Ga.Gemanafushi.
Sewerage Systems are to be installed in:
Ha.Fihladhoo, N.Kendhikolhudhoo, Aa.Maalhos, M.Maduvari, Th.Kinbidhoo, Ha.Kelaa, R.Inguraidhoo, Ad.Dhangethi, F.Dharanboodhoo, L.Maabaidhoo, Hdh.Vaikaradhoo, k.Gaafaru, Adh.Dhigurah, F.Magoodhoo, Gdh.Faresmaathodaa, Sh.Komandoo, Aa.Thohdoo, V.Thinadhoo and Dh.Bandidhoo.
“Hopefully, we will start the projects of installing water and sewerage systems in those islands. And we will install good water and sewerage systems in all the islands of Maldives without discrimination during the five years of my Presidency,” said President Mohamed Solih during his Presidential speech.
Minister of Infrastructure, Mohamed Aslam has stated that 276 Million Dollars would be spent to install and develop good water and sewerage systems in all the islands of Maldives.
Installation of water and sewerage systems in all the islands of the nation is one of Solih’s Presidential vows.
