Facial breakout is the most common skincare problem which affects people, irrespective of gender. It is also the problem which we want the quickest fix for.

Some attribute acne and pimples to a hormonal imbalance, while others attribute it to environmental factors such as the climate. It is also a problem aggravated by lack of proper skincare routine.

The problem we seek to find a solution to, this week, is facial breakouts. These questions were answered by the owner of Sui Salon, Suiza Ibrahim, who was recently honored with the Women Entrepreneurs Award by the SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

What are the most common reasons for pimples?

I would say its basic hygiene, pollution, dust, and unhealthy eating habits such as consumption of junk food.

What is a good skincare routine for the face?

It is very important to keep the skin moisturized or hydrated. Cleanse the skin and apply toner or moisturizer at the end of each day before going to bed. A monthly facial is vital for healthy skin. So, first clean the face using a cleanser, use a scrub, use a moisturizer and a good toner. You can also switch rosewater for toner if you don’t have a good toner.

How can we reduce pimples?

It is very important you drink lots of water (minimum eight glasses per day) and maintain good eating habits.

Is it good to get a facial?

Definitely yes. It will help relax the facial muscles and give your skin a healthy glow.

What is the best skincare routine for us daily makeup users?

It’s completely natural that every woman should want to look good by using makeup. It’s very important to use professional and good quality makeup products. And make sure to cleanse before turning in for the night.

What’s the best method to remove facial hair?

Nowadays we can opt for advanced technology such as laser hair removal. Or you can opt for conventional methods such as either waxing or threading.

Is pimple popping bad? If so, why?

Yes. Because it leaves a mark. Which can be so irritating!

What are the effects of face bleaching?

Bleaching will leave your skin very dry. It can also lead pigmentation if u don’t maintain a proper skincare routine. And everyone can tell if you bleach your face, which can be a bit annoying.

Can you share a home remedy to maintaining healthy facial skin?

Mix curd, cornflower powder and honey to make a nice smooth paste and apply to the skin. Massage the paste over your face for 20 minutes using your fingertips. Rinse, and massage the skin using ice cubes. This is a good home remedy to remove unwanted tans.
