6-year-old victim of Addu accident evacuated to Male’ City

A six-year-old boy who sustained critical injuries in a traffic collision in Addu City has been evacuated via helicopter to Male’ City.

MNDF’s information officer, Captain Ibrahim Azim reports the six-year-old boy sustained critical head injuries in a traffic collision involving motorcycles.

The boy was initially taken to the S. Hithadhoo Regional Hospital, and was medically evacuated via an MDP helicopter to Male’ City by the MNDF’s Southern Command at 10:25 am this Saturday.

He is currently being treated at the Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).

The MNDF also evacuated six children who tested positive for dengue from F. Feeali to Male’ City last Friday night. The children, and their parents were transported via a sea ambulance.
