Registration is ongoing for the Zero Plastic Run by the Insight Consultancy Services (ICS) to promote and campaign to reduce use of single-use plastics.
Zero Plastic Run is organized by ICS in association with The Cleaning Quest and aims to campaign for a complete cease in use of plastics in daily life.
The 5K run will be held at Hulhumale’ on February 1.
Organizers report all participants of the run will be given an eco-friendly bag to pick up litter.
“We will provide a bag. The run is 5 kilometers long. Participants are required to pick up the plastic they find and put it in the bag as they walk or run along the path,” said ICS.
The Zero Plastic Run is open to all; irrespective of age or gender, and is also open to both individual runners as well as company representatives.
The run will be carried out with music from a popular DJ. And the ICS is also scheduled to hold an awareness program at the end of the run.
Registration for the Zero Plastic Run is open until January 31.
