Missing dinghy with 2 onboard located

Two people reported missing after travelling out of A. A. Thoddoo on a dinghy boat have been located.

Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) says dinghy was reported missing to the Coastguard at 1:03 pm this Sunday.

The authority said the dinghy, along with the two people on board, are now in A. A. Ukulhas.

“The dinghy has entered safely into Ukulhas along with the people onboard. The family reported them missing after they failed to hear from them for a long period of time,” said MNDF’s Spokesperson, Captain Ibrahim Azim.

Azim said the dinghy entered Ukulhas at 2:55 pm.
