Age of six-month-old infant

Police have said that the age of the mother of the six-month-old baby found abandoned in a guest house, is 13 years.

A Police Media Official said that the mother and the baby have been returned to their family.

“They have been returned to their family, because they are both minors,” he said.

Police are investigating this case with the cooperation of the Ministry of Gender and Family.

The baby was found left alone in a guest house located at M. Hudhufas yesterday morning at around 10:00.

According to neighbours, the two-storey guest house is operated by a foreigner.

The case of the abandoned baby was reported to Police by guest house employees, who checked the room when they heard a baby crying nonstop.
