Hamdhoon Rasheed dismissed as Commissioner of Police

Hamdhoon Rasheed has been dismissed from his post as Commissioner of Police.

President’s Spokesperson, Ibrahim Hoodh reports Hamdhoon has dismissed as CP this Wednesday morning.

The Spokesperson was unable to confirm whether Hamdhoon has retired from the Maldives Police Service.

Meanwhile, Mohamed Hameedh (MC Hameedh) has been promoted to Deputy Commissioner of Police and appointed Acting CP.

Hamdhoon was appointed CP on October 1, 2018 – during the last days in office by former President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.
