President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has said that a total of 160 families have requested assistance following the torrential rain in the capital Male’ City.
Talking to the press on his visit to Kalaafaanu School to meet the families in refuge, President Solih said that state institutes and private citizens are working to drain the water from the streets.
The President said that there was difficulty draining the water this morning because the water pumps were broken. President Solih said that the government is trying to provide assistance to who are requesting it.
President Solih visited the Disaster Management Center and the Kalhuthukalaa Koshi as well.
