Shahid appointed MD of MPL, Mughnee appointed MD of STELCO

Managing directors have been appointed to two State companies; Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) and State Electric Company (STELCO).

Shahid Ali has been appointed MD of MPL and Hassan Mughnee has been appointed MD of STELCO.

The appointments were announced by President of Privatization and Corporatization Board, Mohamed Nizar this Tuesday afternoon.

Shahid previously served as Managing Director of State Trading Organization (STO) from November 20, 2008 to November 17, 2013.

Meanwhile, Mughnee previously served in the same position (MD of STELCO) from January 24, 2014 to June 8, 2014. He also served in the Board of Directors of Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC).

Mughnee replaces Ahmed Zuhoor as MD of STELCO.
