Galolhu Dhekunu MP Ahmed Mahloof has denied allegations against him that he hit a woman on the road.
Mahloof told Sun Online today that he was approached by some people on a motorbike on the street on Saturday night, who filmed him rather close using a mobile phone.
“Of course, anybody would find it annoying to be filmed so close while on a motorbike. So I tried to block the camera with my hand. I never hit anyone,” Mahloof said.
However the video leaked by Raajje TV shows Mahloof exchanging heated arguments with the people on the motorbike, followed by a wave of his hand.
The man on the motorbike said in an interview with Raajje TV last night that they called Mahloof a ‘traitor’ when they saw him that night on the road, and rode on; but Mahloof caught up with them from behind and started arguing and threatening them.
Even he was doubtful whether Mahloof’s intention was to hit the woman on the backseat of the motorcycle.
“Maybe he was trying to hit the phone. But he ended up hitting the woman’s face as well,” he said.
