Former President, Mohamed Nasheed’s visit to Addu City has been delayed to next Friday.

MP for Hithadhoo constituency, Ali Niyaz, told Sun Media tonight that the former President’s visit was delayed due to the unfortunate weather. He noted that in this weather, it would be difficult to hold meet and greet sessions with the people.

President Nasheed was initially set to visit Addu City on 3 November.

After almost three years in self-exile, the former President returned to the Maldives yesterday to a mass welcome from the public.
