Authorities rescue woman who attempted to jump from Hulhumale’ flat

Authorities have rescued a woman who attempted to jump from an apartment in Hulhumale’ this Wednesday.

Videos of the incident circulating in social media shows the woman sitting on the ledge below the window of an apartment in the china town of Hulhumale’.

‘Sun’ has been informed the woman is not mentally stable.

She is seen on video talking about a young child.

Information officer at Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF), Ibrahim Azim confirmed the authority assisted in the rescue of the woman.

“Fire and Rescue was mobilized to rescue a person who attempted to jump out of the window of an apartment in Hulhumale’ at approximately 8:30 am. She was rescued using a ladder and pulled in through the window,” said Azim.

Maldives Police Service was not immediately available for comment regarding the incident.
