A special envoy of Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena has paid a visit to the President-elect of Maldives Ibrahim Mohamed Solih (Ibu) and members of the opposition coalition.
The special envoy, Minister of Sports and Provincial Councils and Local Government - Mohamed Faiszer Musthapha met with Ibu last Saturday. The meeting was also attended by the Sri Lankan Ambassador to Maldives, Major-General (Retired) B.R.W.M.R.A.B Thoradeniya.
Faiszer Musthapha also met with the founder of Jumhoory Party (JP), Qasim Ibrahim, who returned to Maldives after self-imposed exile at Germany this week, and former Maldivian President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom who was released on parole last week.
