Stelco: Electricity will be restored to entire Male’ City shortly

Electricity will be restored soon to the few parts of Male’ City still affected by the power outage of this Saturday morning, says State Electric Company (Stelco).

Electricity went out from the entire capital city at 8 am this Saturday.

An official from Stelco who spoke to “Sun” said the electricity outage occurred due to a technical issue.

“Electricity was restored to a large part approximately 45 minutes ago. There are still a few areas without electricity. We are working with speed to restore electricity to those parts as well,” said the official.
