The first shipment of buses to be used on the bridge between Male' and Hulhule' has been brought to the country.
Media Official of the MPL told Sun Media tonight that nine buses have been brought as the first shipment.
CEO of MPL, Abdul Razzaq Haleem has previous said that a total of 22 buses will be imported to be used on the bridge which consists of eight double decker buses, seven city buses and seven coach buses with the capacity of 40-45 people.
Haleem said that MVR 100 million is being invested by he MPL for the bus service.
While the bus fares are yet to be decided, the government is discussing the matter according to the MPL. Haleem said that the bus schedules for Male' - Hulhule' and Hulhule' Hulhumale' are yet to be decided.
MPL said that the bus travel would facilitate using cards instead of waiting in queue to buy bus tickets.
