181 people received their license to practice law in Maldives last Monday night.
The new attorneys were sworn in by Supreme Court Judge Abdulla Didi.
The function was attended by Attorney General Mohamed Anil, Supreme Court judges, chief judges at the High Court and superior courts, attorneys at the Attorney General’s Office and officials from the judiciary.
The license to practice law in Maldives was handed over to the attorneys by Chief Justice Dr. Ahmed Abdulla Didi, AG Anil, Supreme Court judges Abdulla Areef, Adam Mohamed Abdulla, Abdulla Didi and Abdul Ghanee Mohamed.
Both Chief Justice Dr. Didi and AG Anil spoke to the new attorneys at the function.
The 181 attorneys were the second batch of attorneys to receive their license this year. Over 170 attorneys received their license in the first round, held earlier this year.
