Opposition candidate threatened on door-to-door campaign

The opposition candidate in the upcoming Presidential Election, MDP's Ibrahim Mohamed Solih (Ibu) has been threatened with violence on his door-to-door campaign in Hulhumale' today. 

The people who threatened Ibu with violence were two people who came by on a motorcycle. When they made the threats, the Presidential candidate left the area. 

In a special interview with Sun Media regarding the incident, Home Minister, Azleen Ahmed said that if such an incident took place, he strongly condemns it and if reported to the police it would be investigated as a serious crime. 

While the opposition candidate has been threatened with violence, the Economic Minister, Mohamed Saeed have been confronted and threatened with violence during the ongoing door-to-door campaign by PPM in Male' City. A video of the incident hit social media some time ago.
