Police arrest Interpol-Wanted man

Police have arrested a man for whom Interpol had issued the red notice following the Sultan Park ‘improvised device’ bombing incident on 29 September 2007.

The man is Abdul Latheef Ibrahim, 29, of Loveside, L. Thundi.

He was arrested upon arrival at Male’ International Airport on Sunday afternoon, on a flight from Pakistan.

Interpol red notices were issued for ten people following the bombing in Sultan Park, of whom three have so far been arrested by the Police.
